Past Captains' Stableford competition on 7th July was won
by the current Ladies' Captain, Rita Hedderman (seated
centre) amongst a bevy of Past Ladies' Captains
and
in case you
wondered how the CURRENT Ladies' Captain can win a PAST
Captains' event, our lovely Rita was Ladies' Captain some 29
years ago in 1981/82 !

Waterhall Junior Football Festival |
|
|
On Sunday 22nd May the Club's
Head Professional, Graeme Crompton, together with General
Manager Gary Salt, Junior Organiser Ken Stafford and Dan
Milligan (the Club's Junior Champion in 2007/8) set up and
manned a stand at the Waterhall Junior Football Festival.

Sophie Kennard wins the scratch
prize in the SCLGA Junior Girls Spring Meeting |
|
|
Congratulations go to Sophie Kennard, who plays off 9, for
winning the scratch prize in the SCLGA Junior Girls Spring
Meeting at Chartham Park GC on 18 April 2011. On the front
nine she had a triple bogey but recovered her composure to
shoot just two over par on the last eight holes to record a
gross 81.

This photograph was taken whilst the Club's immediate Past
Captain, Gordon Eaton, was having his one-hour flying lesson.
It shows 12 of the holes at the southern end of the course and
(apart from the par 3 holes) the dark humus which has been
added to the fairways during the past week.

Over 70 Members
and guests attended the St. Patrick's Quiz Night.
Split into 13 teams, they tried to answer an array of
questions on a wide variety of topics in what proved to be a
very close contest.

The Club's new
Dress Code was introduced in December 2010, just before the
very cold and snowy weather arrived.
However, the Code appears to make no reference to fake fur,
but two of our Lady Members, Jenny Davis (left) and Jill
Corbett, were not deterred and found these hats the only way
to combat the cold.
They must be
"tee cosies"! |
